My Story
I fell in love with Bernese Mountain Dogs the first time I saw one while working at a vet clinic when I was twenty years old. It was many years before I was in a position to get a Berner for myself, but finally got Rose in 2014, Paladin in 2017, and Zelda in 2018. I kept a puppy, Eleanor, from Zelda's first litter last year.
As a breeder, I am constantly trying to further my knowledge of not only the breed, but canine genetics as well. I believe in ethical breeding practices. That means screening all my dogs for OFA recommended diseases, carefully picking breedings that promote genetic diversity, striving for type and family pet temperament, screening potential puppy families, and maintaining a lifelong relationship of support with them.
I am an active participant in the Bernese Mountain Dog Vitality Project. They seek to diversify Bernese Mountain Dogs by outcross breedings. We have produced 5 litters so far. The requirements for being a puppy owner for this project is more strenuous than a typical owner. If you're interested in this program feel free to contact me or visit bmdvitalityproject.org.
I am located in central Oklahoma. I don't like to ship puppies, so if interested, be prepared to come and pick up your pup.
